We are proud to be involved in the Hon Chong Plant in Vietnam with a key bypass venting project aimed at improving emissions control and operational efficiency with minimal site work. This project involves the installation of a new chloride bypass gas separation and dust collection system to reduce higher-than-required electrostatic precipitator (EP) dust emissions.
Project Challenges:
Current EP Dust Emissions: The existing system has dust emissions exceeding the required standard (over 100 mg/Nm³ vs. the target of 64 mg/Nm³). This issue arises because the current cooler EP is not effective in handling kiln bypass dust. As a result, the cooler spray is required, which limits bypass capacity and impairs the performance of the cooler fan.
Project Solution:
New Chloride Bypass Gas Separation System: With the installation of the new system, dust emissions will meet the required standards, reducing the need for the EP cooler spray. This will enhance the overall efficiency and capacity of the system, improving the plant’s performance while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.
By improving efficiency with limited site work, this project exemplifies our ability to deliver cost-effective solutions that enhance both performance and sustainability in cement production.
